Our experience covers the full range of exempt and taxable offerings, including state and local general obligation and revenue financings, 501(c)(3) financings, infrastructure financings and financings for utility boards, local schools and universities and healthcare facilities, as well as related transactions such as interest rate swaps, credit enhancement facilities and refunding issues. As a natural outgrowth of our public finance practice, we also provide knowledgeable and experienced advice and representation on matters involving state constitutional law, tax law and industrial and economic development, among other key issues facing local government entities. We regularly serve as counsel to Jefferson and Montgomery Counties, Alabama, the Birmingham Industrial Development Board and the Montgomery Industrial Development Board, and are frequently called upon to represent other county and municipal governments and related bodies. In addition, we have been actively involved in organizing and establishing commercial development authorities, cooperative districts, health care authorities and other entities that play a substantial role in economic development and growth.
