BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jan. 12, 2012 – Jennifer B. Kimble, an attorney with Haskell Slaughter Young & Rediker, LLC, has been named to the PreSchool Partners Young Partners Board, the Executive Board of the Birmingham Bar Association's (BBA) Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section and the BBA’s Future Leaders Forum.
Founded on the belief that every child deserves access to quality preschool education, PreSchool Partners is dedicated to preparing at-risk 3 and 4-year-old children and their parents for kindergarten in the Birmingham City Schools. The mission of PreSchool Partners is to equip families of at-risk preschool age children with the skills necessary to achieve school readiness.
The BBA’s Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section works to facilitate communication among members concerning bankruptcy and commercial litigation topics and provides social interaction and continuing legal education on relevant issues for its members. The Section also engages in pro bono activities, facilitates communication with the state and federal judiciary and offers philanthropic services throughout the community. The Section has expanded its philanthropic efforts over the past several years to include contributions to the general scholarship funds for both Cumberland School of Law and the University of Alabama School of Law.
The BBA’s Future Leaders Forum is designed to help younger lawyers become leaders in the legal profession and in the Birmingham community and cultivates leaders from among a group of motivated attorneys who have been in practice three to seven years.

ABOUT JENNIFER B. KIMBLE
Jennifer Kimble represents creditors, debtors, unsecured creditors committees and other parties in bankruptcy and civil litigation matters, workouts and out-of-court restructurings. She has also represented creditors in preference and fraudulent transfer actions and financial institutions in litigation with borrowers and loan participants. Kimble’s practice has also included the representation of automobile manufacturers and sole-source suppliers in bankruptcy and litigation-related matters and financial disputes.
A native of Hattiesburg, Miss., Kimble graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University and magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she was Associate Articles Editor of the Mississippi Law Journal and served on the Moot Court Board. Before joining Haskell Slaughter, she practiced with a large Birmingham-based firm and with the Legal Department of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, LLC. Kimble has been involved in bar activities at the local, state and national levels and is an active member of the Junior League of Birmingham.
