BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - March 4, 2010 - William W. Horton, an attorney with Haskell Slaughter Young & Rediker, LLC, will be a program panelist for the Graduate Certificate Program in Healthcare Corporate Compliance offered by George Washington University's College of Professional Studies and School of Public Health and Health Services. The program will be held March 10th in Alexandria, Virginia. Mr. Horton has served as a panelist for the program in each semester since the program was initiated in Fall 2005.
George Washington University's Healthcare Corporate Compliance Graduate Certificate Program provides a comprehensive corporate compliance education for current or prospective corporate compliance officers. This unique program offers education in healthcare laws and regulations, as well as tools and strategies for creating effective corporate compliance programs. The program consists of an initial five-day residency in Alexandria, Virginia, followed by a six-month interactive distance learning segment, and concludes with a three-day capstone residency in Alexandria. Bill Horton currently serves as Chair of Haskell Slaughter's Transactional Practice Group and leads the firm's healthcare practice. A nationally recognized speaker and author on healthcare, corporate and securities law, and professional responsibility topics, Mr. Horton has held leadership positions for several years with both the American Health Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association's Health Law Section, where he serves on the Governing Council.
