"RISING ICON" AWARD WINNER

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - October 20, 2009 - V. J. Graffeo, an attorney with Haskell Slaughter Young & Rediker, LLC, has been honored by the Metro Birmingham Branch of the NAACP as one of the recipients of its 2009 "Rising Icon" Awards.  The Rising Icon Awards recognize Birmingham's young leaders in business, medicine, community advocacy and civic engagement, entertainment, law, religion, media and civil rights.  Mr. Graffeo was recognized for his leadership and service to the community through the Rotaract Club of Birmingham, the Birmingham Bar Association, the Birmingham Museum of Art and Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School.

V. J. Graffeo practices in the area of complex civil litigation.
