ALABAMA STATE BAR HISTORY AND ARCHIVES COMMITTEE
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - August 6, 2009 - Benjamin B. Spratling III, an attorney with Haskell Slaughter Young & Rediker, LLC, has been reappointed as Chair of the History and Archives Committee of the Alabama State Bar for 2009 - 2010. The History and Archives Committee is charged with maintaining and preserving the historical record of the legal profession in the State of Alabama.
The Alabama State Bar is the licensing and regulatory body for the legal profession in the State of Alabama. Ben Spratling is a veteran public finance lawyer who has served as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel and issuer's counsel for bond financings throughout the state of Alabama. His practice has focused on industrial development, infrastructure, utility and education financings, with longtime service as counsel to the Birmingham Industrial Development Board. Mr. Spratling has been active in bar association service at the state and local levels and is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
