HASKELL SLAUGHTER'S HORTON ELECTED TO
ABA HEALTH LAW SECTION GOVERNING COUNCIL
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - August 4, 2009 - William W. Horton, an attorney with Haskell Slaughter Young & Rediker, LLC, was elected to a three-year term on the Council of the American Bar Association (ABA) Health Law Section at the ABA Annual Meeting on August 1. Mr. Horton, who chairs Haskell Slaughter's Transactional Practice Group, is the first lawyer from Alabama to serve on the Council, the governing body of the Health Law Section. He previously served for three years as chair of the Section's Programs Executive Committee and for two years as chair of its Business and Transactions Interest Group, among other leadership positions.

Bill Horton currently serves as Chair of Haskell Slaughter's Transactional Practice Group and leads the firm's healthcare practice.
