HASKELL SLAUGHTER'S HORTON REAPPOINTED TO
AMERICAN HEALTH LAWYERS ASSOCIATION LEADERSHIP ROLE

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - June 4, 2009 - William W. Horton, an attorney with Haskell Slaughter Young & Rediker, LLC, has been appointed to a second term as a Vice Chair of the Business Law and Governance Practice Group of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA).  The Business Law and Governance Practice Group addresses the range of business, financial, regulatory and operational issues faced by for-profit and nonprofit healthcare organizations, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate finance matters.  Mr. Horton, who also served for five years as a Vice Chair of AHLA's In-House Counsel Practice Group, is responsible for coordinating publications for the Practice Group, including its newsletters and Member Briefings.
