CONSUMER BANKRUPTCY SKILLS TRAINING CONFERENCE
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - May 28, 2009 - R. Scott Williams, an attorney with Haskell Slaughter Young & Rediker, LLC, will be a featured speaker at the 2009 Atlanta Consumer Bankruptcy Skills Training seminar, to be held June 4 at the Atlanta headquarters of the State Bar of Georgia. Mr. Williams will speak on "Oral Skills and Persuasion Techniques" at the conference, which is sponsored by the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Bankruptcy Section of the Atlanta Bar Association and the Metro-Atlanta Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Group.

ABOUT SCOTT WILLIAMS
Scott Williams concentrates his practice in bankruptcy, reorganization and creditors' rights and related commercial litigation. He has represented debtors and creditors in a variety of complex bankruptcy cases, and also has extensive experience representing parties in complex commercial litigation. Mr. Williams served for several years as counsel to U.S. Senator Howell T. Heflin, and in that capacity played a significant role in drafting the United States Bankruptcy Code Amendments enacted in 1995. Mr. Williams is active in the bankruptcy bar on the local and national levels and serves as a contributing editor to Collier on Bankruptcy, a leading bankruptcy law treatise.
