ABOUT WILLIAM M. SLAUGHTER
Bill Slaughter is a founding member of Haskell Slaughter. His practice is concentrated in the areas of public finance, state and local government law, governmental relations and civil litigation. Mr. Slaughter has represented state and local government issuers and underwriters in some of the most complex financing transactions in the State of Alabama, and he also has extensive experience in litigation concerning significant constitutional and public law issues. His litigation practice has included successful appellate work in the United States Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of Alabama. Mike Rediker has a litigation practice of national scope in the areas of securities, corporate governance, RICO, antitrust, bond issuances and bond defaults, products liability, fraud, corporate law and business torts, especially in the settings of derivative, class action, complex and multi-district litigation. Mr. Rediker has served both as defense counsel and as plaintiffs' counsel, and has tried cases in a wide variety of federal and state courts, including the United States Supreme Court, the United States Tax Court and numerous United States Courts of Appeals. He has represented clients in litigation in approximately half the states in the U.S. In his practice, Mr. Rediker has represented institutional and individual investors of all types (including state pension funds, insurance companies, mutual funds, financial institutions, and private retirement funds) as well as public and private corporations and governmental entities. Jesse Evans has represented clients in a wide variety of real estate development, land use, eminent domain, title insurance and real estate litigation matters for over 25 years. His practice encompasses the representation of real estate developers in litigation and non-litigation matters, the representation of title insurers in coverage issues and litigated disputes and the representation of landowners in eminent domain proceedings, among a variety of other real estate-related matters. Mr. Evans is the author of Alabama Property Rights and Remedies, one of the leading treatises on real property law in the state. He has also served as a Professor of Law at Birmingham School of Law and currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alabama School of Law.
