Thomas J. Buchanan
Tom Buchanan represents clients in all aspects of the telecommunications industry. Before joining Haskell Slaughter in 2008, Mr. Buchanan served for nine years as General Counsel of Corr Wireless, a regional provider of wireless telecommunications service. In that role, Mr. Buchanan represented the company in regulatory matters, site acquisition, tower construction, retail development and employment matters, among other things, and has been active in industry associations. He previously served for over four years as Assistant General Counsel of Community Bank in Blountsville, Alabama.
Mr. Buchanan has been active in civic and community affairs in Blount County, including currently serving as Chairman of the Utilities Board of the City of Oneonta. He is formerly president of the Oneonta Lions Club. Before beginning his legal practice, he worked for several years in a variety of accounting positions in the retail and manufacturing sectors.
