
Patricia C. Diak
Trish Diak has a diversified civil litigation practice and has experience in prosecuting and defending a wide variety of complex litigation matters, including securities litigation, antitrust litigation, consumer class actions, financial services litigation, products liability litigation and broker-dealer matters in both court and arbitration settings.
Ms. Diak has represented institutional investors as well as individuals, public and private corporations and governmental entities, and has been appointed as Deputy Attorney General to represent the Securities Commission of the State of Alabama in complex litigation.
Ms. Diak began her legal career as Law Clerk to United States District Judge Louis F. Oberdorfer, District of the District of Columbia, in 1994 - 1995, after serving as a Senior Editor of the Yale Law Journal. She has served on the Board of the Women's Section of the Birmingham Bar Association and its Projects Committee and has led panel discussions sponsored by the North American Securities Administrators Association. Ms. Diak is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Diak has been involved in a number of civic and charitable organizations. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Yale Law School Association, the Board of the Alabama Appleseed Center for Law & Justice, and the Board of the Old Firehouse Shelter. She is also a member of the Rotary Club of Birmingham and a volunteer with Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham.
