As a litigation associate, Baird's areas of focus are insurance defense, commercial litigation, Federal False Claims Act litigation, as well as white-collar criminal defense and corporate investigations.
He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of the South in 2004 and his juris doctor degree from Cumberland School of Law in 2008. In law school, Baird was a member of the National Trial Team and an Associate Director of the Cumberland Trial Advocacy Board. While in law school, Baird received the American Association for Justice's Protect the Public Award for his achievements on Cumberland's National Trial Team.
Baird currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar Association. The Committee is actively involved in volunteering in the community and raising money to donate to charitable organizations benefiting the Birmingham area. Baird was recently named by B-Metro Magazine as a Rising Star in litigation for 2012.
In the community, Baird serves on the Junior Board for Lakeshore Foundation, which provides fundraising and programmatic support to the Foundation with the goal of enabling people with physical disabilities and chronic health conditions to lead healthy, active, and independent lifestyles. Furthermore, Baird coaches yough boys' basketball through the Mountain Brook Athletics League.
