Jennifer Kimble represents creditors, debtors, unsecured creditors committees, chapter 7 trustees and other parties in bankruptcy and civil litigation matters, workouts and out-of-court restructurings.  She has also represented both plan administrators and creditors in preference and fraudulent transfer actions and financial institutions in litigation with borrowers and loan participants.  Ms. Kimble’s practice has also included the representation of automobile manufacturers and sole-source suppliers in bankruptcy and litigation-related matters and financial disputes. 

Ms. Kimble has been involved in bar associations and professional organizations at the local, state, national and international levels.  She serves on the Executive Board of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Birmingham Bar Association.  Ms. Kimble is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and in 2010 she co-founded and now co-chairs the Alabama Network of the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation ("IWIRC").  Ms. Kimble is also actively involved with IWIRC at the international level serving on various committees within the organization, and was named a semi-finalist for IWIRC's "Rising Star" award in 2011.  Ms. Kimble is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and is an active member in the Junior League of Birmingham.  Additionally, she serves on the Junior Partner Board of PreSchool Partners.

Ms. Kimble was selected for inclusion in the 2011 Alabama Super Lawyers "Rising Stars" catagory for her work in bankruptcy and creditor/debtor rights.  She also participated in the 2011 class of the Birmingham Bar Association's Future Leaders Forum.

A native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Ms. Kimble graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University and magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she was Associate Articles Editor of the Mississippi Law Journal and served on the Moot Court Board.  Before joining Haskell Slaughter, she practiced with a large Birmingham-based firm and with the Legal Department of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, LLC.
