Tom Krebs represents clients in the areas of securities and class action litigation, broker-dealer litigation and arbitration, and other complex civil litigation. With an extensive background in securities regulation and enforcement and significant trial and arbitration experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in securities-related matters, Mr. Krebs brings substantial expertise to the representation of corporate clients, broker-dealer firms and individual and institutional investors. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Krebs maintains an active practice in broker-dealer arbitration.

Mr. Krebs is currently on leave of absence from the firm, serving as Assistant Director and Deputy General Counsel of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission.

Mr. Krebs served as Director of the Alabama Securities Commission from 1975 - 1982. During that time, he held several offices with the North American Securities Administrators Association, serving as its president in 1981, and co-founded the Leviticus Project, a six-state, 16-agency task force organized to investigate and prosecute crime in the coal industry that remains one of the most successful multistate cooperative investigative programs in U.S. law enforcement. He was also named by the Governor of Alabama in 1981 to lead a task force to investigate and prosecute public corruption and white-collar crime. He continues to represent the Alabama Securities Commission in select matters.

Mr. Krebs has served as an adjunct faculty member at Cumberland School of Law of Samford University and as a lecturer on securities law and white-collar crime for numerous continuing legal education programs. He served on active duty in Viet Nam as an officer of the U.S. Marine Corps.   Mr. Krebs is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for Securities Law.
